Susan Caumont's Signs of Life
|
The Raad Gallery is excited to have Susan
Caumont's collection entitled "Signs of Life".
"Signs of Life" is a group of paintings and
drawings of shells and fossils. Ms. Caumont
sees this collection as representative abstracts
of life. They can be seen as still life but at the
same time they combine as an abstract, intent on
provoking unconscious connections.
Ms. Caumont is a graduate from Rhode Island
School of Design with a degree in painting. Most
recently she worked with scientists at the
Smithsonian's Natural History Museum for 15
years as a natural science illustrator.
